Picking your Scene…
If you aren’t sure about the location you want just picture it like a movie scene. Your session is your short film but just in photographs. You know how you interact and what you love to do with your significant other so take that vision and put it on a backdrop. Our lovely couple love to dance, love show tunes, and love Disney. They picked a scene where they could express their loves as well as make it different then that of their wedding venue.
Your Wardrobe helps paint the picture…
You know what you are comfortable in and what you are not comfortable in. Wear clothing that fits you comfortably. Flow always shows nice in photos where as super tight and formatting may ride up as you move around. Riding dresses or clothing creates wrinkles and lines that don’t always flatter the figure. Our lovely soon to be bride opted for a flowing dress that moved with her moves and created a flow for images especially since they would be dancing through the session.
You know what you like…
Don’t be bashful! Your photographer may be standing there but this session is about the two of you! Like Madonna said (am I aging myself?) express yourself! This couple loves to dance and I saw how absolutely comfortable it made them with this interaction. We used the dancing to really lose things up and keep the couple actively involved with each other so they weren’t just kissing, posing and looking at the camera.
