Tampa Godfrey Hotel and Cabanas Waterside Wedding
It’s all in the details…
when a color theme and a venue flow together it makes everything pretty seamless. The Godfrey Hotel and Cabanas is right on the edge of Tampa Bay and the bride and grooms Blue theme really flowed with the overall color scheme of the hotel. This couple opted for a more DIY approach. The brides wooden floral bouquet was made by the brides mother, The cake was homemade and decorated by family and the bride had put together most of the overall details. Confetti Events laid out professionally the day of as the couples “Day of” coordinators.
First Looks meant an easy reception flow for the couple
The bride wanted their ceremony as close to sunset as possible so with a large family formal list more before ceremony was a necessity for the couple. When couples want to be an active part of their cocktail hour and reception we highly encourage seeing eachother before the walk down the aisle
Spacious Rooms made for great getting ready images
Getting a larger room like a suite gives you plenty of room to capture getting ready images. While hair and makeup will need room to do their magic a larger room makes it for no overlapping. If your bridesmaids and parents aren’t done with their hair and makeup when
Ceremony Start times
If you aren’t sure about what time you should start your ceremony when close to the water just ask your wedding photographers. We can talk about your vision and what you plan and what realistically you can achieve with your expectations. This bride and groom asked us what we thought about their start time. We explained the expectations with the different start times and where the sun would fall at their desired ceremony time. I promise your guests do not want the sun directly behind you when you marry it’s in their faces and the photos really aren’t that amazing. An hour before sunset the lighting is typically just right for water or beach side weddings.
Leaving a large amount of time for portraits
Let’s revisit the first look topic. In addition to getting your family portraits and wedding party portraits done during this time frame you also have the ability to get some couples portraits done outside of the area of your ceremony. First looks can provide you with a completely different look from your overall ceremony location appearance. It’s a great opportunity mixed with the images of the area you wed.
