Sunset Family Session at Sand Key Beach – Just Before the Rain!
Florida sunsets are famous for a reason — and this Sand Key Beach family photography session delivered all the beauty just before the rain rolled in! There’s nothing like that golden light right before a summer storm, and this sweet family soaked up every minute of it.
We started our session with toes in the sand, wind in our hair, and a few playful games to get the little ones smiling. Sand Key is one of my favorite spots for family beach photography near Clearwater because it’s peaceful, spacious, and full of natural beauty — think soft dunes, sea oats, and wide open skies.
As the clouds started to roll in, the light actually got even more magical! That pre-rain glow created the dreamiest soft tones for photos, and the breeze gave everything that effortless, windswept look we all love. The kids had a blast running along the shoreline while the parents snuck in a few sweet moments of their own.
We wrapped up just in time — and as the first drops hit, we were all laughing, happy, and ready to call it a win.
