We are those parents that let our kids watch horror movies, supervised. We had been talking about Pennywise to our almost 10 year old and he watched the original “It” before watching the new one. He then watched the previews for the new one. As we come up to Halloween, we asked him what he wanted to be. His response was “Pennywise, but the new one”. So, It is exceptionally easy to get a good “old” Pennywise, but the new costume of the new pennywise isn’t so easy. I waited until last week after endless searches and unhappy with the quality to take to amazon prime and order the actual cosplay costume. My husband swore I wouldn’t get it in time, but with rush delivery I soon became “mom of the year”. Now, Back track to my 7 year old. She wanted to be a unicorn. My darling husband says how cool would it be for her to be Georgie. It took some major convincing, but she was soon on board. My oldest has sensory issues and although we bought him the mask I ultimately wanted a backup plan for him with face paint. Saturday was the day to try to piece this together so on Halloween he had options. He wasn’t pleased with the face paint at first until he put the costume on with it and saw how absolutely cool this was. I was going to paint his face again Sunday and take him down to the local park for photos, but my husband said it was already dreary out today might as well take them into the yard and get some shots. I’m not going to lie, One of these shots will end up on this years Christmas cards. These two are so use to getting their photos taken I didn’t even really need to coach them. When I tried they let me know they knew what to do. Yes, My son has that face down a little to well. Happy Halloween guys! Stay safe!
