The Engagement
The Bride and Groom opted to wait until right before the wedding to take advantage of the engagement session. They wanted something fun to reflect their personalities but wanted the really pretty setting of the beach. Fort Desoto is my go to versatile location where the sunsets are beautiful and you have the space for a couple to really come out of their shells. I am so glad they opted to do an engagement session, it not only got them comfortable but made me super excited for all that was in store for their wedding day.
In the Details
The couple wanted a fun wedding that expressed their personalities and the grooms love for the Dominican Republic, where his family was from. All of the floral and decor had a tropical theme including the beautifully decorated arch. The grooms tie, was a globe, a nod to their love for travel. Instead of your typically basic sand ceremony the couple opted for two types of sand- Florida sand and sand from the Dominican Republic as the symbol of the combining of the two lives becoming one.
The Ceremony | The Formals
Fun was the heading for the wedding day. The couple was really set on having fun and being an active part of their wedding day. They wanted as much done prior to ceremony as they could so they could have some photos after ceremony and be a part of their wedding day. They had guests from near and far and really wanted to play an active part in the day.
I Scream you Scream we all scream for….Ice Cream?
A unique and wonderful idea! ICE CREAM! This NOVA couple opted for an ice cream truck for their guests and we totally had to use it to our advantage for photos!
