Honeymoon Island Wedding Dunedin
Mike and Nicole married on Honeymoon Island right near Dunedin this past month! This is actually one of my most favorite places to shoot as it’s a pretty open canvas and allows for some variation. You have the obvious beach but there are green tree covered paths, dune areas, and in a nice secluded area rocks and areas where you can put your feet in the water and get your dress a little wet if you want. It was HOT very HOT and thankfully it was one of the only weekends that it didn’t rain. We decided to wait on the couples formals till the sun went down a little more and they got some food in their system. We then loaded up and headed to the other side of the island to do their formals- sunset was more then cooperative. Honeymoon Island also houses a hut/restaurant that is a great little secluded area you can have your reception and dance the night away with your guests without strangers coming in and looking around. It’s a great beach wedding option for couples looking for a great beach location to exchange nuptials and be able to have a quiet reception for a more intimate feel. Â It was a a beautiful day and we were thrilled to be a part of it. Enjoy their Honey moon Island Wedding below!
