The Hidden Gem in Lake Wales….

Did you know that Lake Wales has a vast green botanical like gardens that holds a tall water tower? This is probably one of the only locations close to the greater Tampa Bay Area that you feel like you are on a hill looking down into a farm like area. The gardens hold so many magical treats. There is a home on property that makes for some great images. The home is available for tours but the grounds surrounding it include a lush garden area, a pond, and some really pretty architecture. 

Its an additional fee to enter for your session but it’s worth the cost…

Bok Tower gardens does have a per person fee to enter and we let our couples know they are responsible for the entry costs but the location holds such a variety of options for photos it’s more then worth the additional cost. Upon entering the gardens you can see a winding road. Along this road are orange groves. Talk about entering into a great photo opportunity. Just on the other side is an overgrowth grassy area for a completely different backdrop. You travel to a parking lot where you enter the main gardens and are surrounded by a vast garden. The possibilities for your session are absolutely endless. 

One outfit suggestion 

With an open canvas like Bok Tower Gardens for your engagement session I always suggest a one outfit session. Multiple outfits means finding a location for you to change and that takes away from your possibilities of multiple backdrops.  One outfit that fits your personality and look gives you endless opportunities for engagement photographs.
