One of the greatest compliments I can receive as a photographer is when families come back year after year to document their memories. This recent Anna Maria Island family session was especially meaningful because I first photographed this wonderful family three years ago!
As an Anna Maria Island family photographer, there’s nothing better than seeing familiar faces and watching how much families have grown over the years. The kids were taller, their personalities were even bigger, and it was amazing to see the changes that had happened since our last session together.
We met on the beautiful beaches of Anna Maria Island just before sunset, and the evening could not have been more perfect. The Gulf waters were calm, the white sand was glowing, and the Florida sunset gave us the most incredible golden light.
One of my favorite parts of the session was hearing the family talk about their memories from their last photo session and seeing how excited the kids were to be back on the beach. We spent the evening laughing, exploring the shoreline, and capturing a mix of candid moments and classic family portraits.
As always, some of the best photos happened in between the poses. The kids ran through the sand, parents shared sweet moments together, and everyone simply enjoyed being on vacation in one of Florida’s most beautiful destinations.
Sessions like this are a reminder of why family photography is so important. Three years may seem like a short time, but when you look back at photographs, you realize just how quickly life changes. Being able to preserve those memories year after year is something truly special.
