Sunset Family Session at Apollo Beach Nature Preserve
There’s something incredibly special about photographing families who are visiting from out of town — and this session at Apollo Beach Nature Preserve was such a beautiful one! This sweet family was soaking up some Florida sunshine during their trip, and they wanted to capture the memories with a sunset session. They couldn’t have picked a better location.
Apollo Beach is one of my favorite hidden gems. The nature preserve offers a peaceful, natural backdrop with tall grasses, boardwalks, and wide-open views of the water. As the sun dipped lower in the sky, the golden light wrapped around everything in that perfect, soft glow photographers dream about.
We let the kids run, play, and explore while I snapped away at the in-between moments — giggles, hugs, and all the natural love that makes family photos truly special. We mixed in a few classic portraits too, but kept everything light and fun, just the way a beach session should be.
By the end of the evening, the sky gave us the most beautiful sunset — pastel pinks, soft oranges, and calm reflections over the water. It was the perfect way to wrap up their session and preserve a little piece of their Florida adventure.
